Empowering Your Yoga Practice with Food

The Yoga Diet is the key to your practice. There is a lot of confusion around what are the right foods to eat, and what are the foods that will nourish a practitioner’s body and soul. Ask the question, what diet is best for me and you will get as many different answers as there are individuals. We are all bio individuals and will learn how to become more aware of how food effects the quality of our yoga practice, relationships and LIFE. We will learn how focusing on quality, source, how and where our food is grown, raised, treated and prepared effects us. The power of supplements, herbs and spices. How important environment, ritual and our emotional state effects our relationships to food and quality of digestion and absorption.

The Art of Self Adjusting

An advanced asana practitioner is based on their degree of skillfulness, consciousness and awareness of their bodies. In this workshop we will look at and break down the fundamental elements of the most commonly practiced poses. We will look at where we may be exploiting what’s already open, how to become unstuck and where we may be holding back that we don’t even realize. We will look at specific alignment and refinement techniques to transform the way we practice and feel as a result.

Attendees of this workshop will learn how to set up poses using specific proportions and measurements determined by the body.

Holy: Holy Vinyasa Sequencing

This challenging and creatively sequencing specialty class is for the yogi who desires more than what the standard yoga class offers. Burn away all the obstacles that clutter the mind and fog the mirror of the soul. Wring out the toxic emotions that build up and stagnate within the body. It has been our direct experience that an intense asana practice and deep stretching /opening poses will bring about these changes.

Bhakti Bash

A Vinyasa Flow Class and Bhakti Music celebration. A non dogmatic, inspired and spirit filled flow practice supported by contemporary and kirtan beats. You will most definitely sweat, sing, laugh and when the spirit moves, dance.

This is Tymi’s signature class, not to be missed….be in the bhav, as we cultivate the BHAKTI LOVE.

Vin-Yin, ½ Vinyasa, ½ Yin

Experience the Yin/Yang factor in this perfectly balanced 2 hour practice. A one hour Vinyasa Flow practice that buolds hear and gets prana/energy flowing through the body, followed by a 1 hour Yin practice, focusing on the connective tissue and fascia. Vin Yin allows us to dive deep into unexplored layers of tension and patterns of holding in the body. Float off your mat feeling balanced and blissed out.

Yin on the Rocks

The Yin Yoga practice is subtle, and deep, and its physical purpose is to work beyond the muscle tissue delving into the connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, bones, cartilage and the deepest fascia networks in the body. The physical and emotional releases are Omazing. Yin on the Rocks is a creatively sequenced 2 Hour Yin Yoga practice that offer options to kick up the effects of each pose, all set to contemporary Rock Music.

WHO IS TYMI HOWARD

Tymi is known in the yoga community as a “Teacher of Teachers” and a skillful graceful practitioner. Students fall in love with her dynamic, playful style of teaching, artistic sequencing and music. Self proclaimed travel junky, blogger and animal rights advocate, she is a lover of God, Life and Yoga. Tymi is forever a students and family who continue to inspire.

Tymi: I am dedicated to inspiring people to discover their life’s purpose through the art of yoga. My introduction to yoga began in NYC in 1993 as a professional ballet dancer with several nagging injuries and found my way into an Ashtanga class. Receiving her BA in Theatre and Dance from Rollins College and Masters Degree from NYU/ Circle in the Square, and too many Yoga Teacher Trainings to list, I continues to be influenced by so many gifted teachers.
